Biography
As a performer, Chara Kotsali has worked with Christos Papadopoulos, Euripides Laskaridis, Patricia Apergi, Iris Karayan, Tzeni Argyriou and many others in dance and theatre, as well as cinema. She has been part of Aerowaves with works by Iris Karayan, Christos Papadopoulos, Sofia Mavragani and Patricia Apergi. She has choreographed several pieces in collaborative schemes, as well as works in theatre as a movement director, most recently for Aris Biniaris’ adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s ‘The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui’, for which she was honoured with a Movement/Choreography award by the Greek Τheatre Critics’ Association. Her individual choreographic work has been showcased at Onassis Stegi, ImPulsTanz – Vienna International Dance Festival and Euro-Scene Leipzig amongst others. ‘to be possessed’ received an honorary mention by Impulstanz Young Choreographers’ 8:tension Jury. She is the supported choreographer of Οnassis Stegi for 2023-2024 as part of the Grand Luxe Network, developing her new performance work.
