Spring Forward activities at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura and Goethe Institut
17 April 2023As part of Spring Forward Festival in Dublin, the Italian Institute of Culture and the Goethe Institute are hosting the screening of a film and a video installation.
Screening 'Conversazioni Sull'attimo'
The Istituto Italiano di Cultura is presenting a screening of the filmed version of ‘Conversazioni Sull’attimo’ by Camilla Monga and Emanuele Maniscalco, Aerowaves Artists #Twenty23 who will also present their work live at the festival. After the screening, Springback writer Róisín O’Brien will moderate a talk with the choreographer Camilla Monga and the artistic team. The film is a co-production of Arte Sella – The Contemporary Mountain.
Screening: Wednesday 26, at 6:30pm, at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, by invitation only.
Figuring Age installation in the Return Gallery
The video installation of ‘Figuring Age’ by Boglárka Börcsök & Andreas Bolm will be shown in the Return Gallery, at the Goethe Institut Dublin, at 37 Merrion Square.

Figuring Age is a short film which reveals three elderly dancers in their homes: Irén Preisich, Éva E. Kovács and Ágnes Roboz –101, 96 and 90 years old respectively–, were once part of the early development of modern dance in Hungary. The stillness of their rooms, filled with personal objects and memories becomes a poignant scenographic backdrop for their last performances on screen.
Presented by Aerowaves in co-operation with the Goethe-Institut Ireland.
The film will be shown in a continuous loop in the Return Gallery.
