Biography
Núria Guiu is a Catalan artist based in Barcelona. She has developed her career as a dancer, performer and choreographer mostly between Scandinavian countries and her homeland.
She graduated from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and danced with IT Dansa young company. After, she has collaborated with Carte Blanche Dance Company, Batsheva Dance Company (Kamuyot/Riksteatern Sweden), Jasmin Vardimon, La Veronal, Kobalt Works, Gisele Vienne, Ole Martin Meland, Ingri Fiksdal, among others. Since 2012 she has created La Muda, which premiered at the Oslo Opera as a commission work for Carte Blanche Dance Company, and PORTAL, premiered at the Oktoberdans Festival in Bergen and later at Sala Hiroshima in Barcelona.
She has also been assisting Arco Renz’s work (Kobalt Works) during 4 years in projects developed in Asian countries such as Cambodia, Philippines, Vietnam, Korea as well as assisting Gisele’s Vienne latest work Crowd. Since 2015, Núria has been studying for a Degree in Anthropology and Human Evolution and an Iyengar Yoga TTC in Copenhagen.
