Biography

Filipe Lourenço is a French choreographer. His artistic work began in 1988 with Arab-Andalou music, namely the El Albaycin orchestra, for a 12-year long collaboration. In 1997 he attended the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d’Angers (CNDC), before signing his first contract in 1999 with Olivier Bodin.

Since then he has collaborated with many different choreographers such as Patrick le Doaré, Catherine Diverrès, Georges Appaix, Joëlle Bouvier, Michèle Noiret, Nasser Martin-Gousset, with whom he has worked regularly since 2006 (Péplum, Comedy, I want you and Pacifique), Christian Rizzo and Boris Charmatz.

In 2008 he created Plan-K together with performers Laurie Young and Giota Kallimani.
