The Aerowaves Twenty23 artists are on board and the Spring Forward lineup is complete! Once again, it will bring together inspiring dance makers from around Europe to a professional international audience. In addition, former Aerowaves artist Oona Doherty will present Hope Hunt and the Ascension into Lazarus, the work that was selected by Aerowaves in 2017, but has never been presented live before as part of the festival.
This will also be an opportunity to meet the international group of journalists and writers of the Springback Academy and the producers and curators of the Startup Forum programme. Aerowaves will also invite 10 dance makers based in Ireland, to be part of the Spring Forward Artists’ Encounter, and participate in an intensive programme which includes a professional development workshop, opportunities to network and access to the festival programme. In addition, there will be a talk featuring Oona Doherty, Olga Dukhovnaya and Nick Bryson moderated by Roísín O’Brien, on the morning of Saturday 29 April at Dance Ireland.
Since Spring Forward is mainly a professional festival, only registered professionals will have access to all the performances. However, some of the works and double bills will be open to the public at the Samuel Beckett Theatre, The Complex and Smock Alley.
Tickets will be put on sale soon for those shows open to the public.
