Meet the Twenty22 artists!

The 2022 line-up includes works from 12 countries and proves yet again how rich Europe’s emerging dance scene is in its diversity of themes and aesthetics.

The selection process took place at the Kultur-Betriebe Burgenland in Eisenstadt (Austria) from 29 – 31 October, hosted by Liz King and Max Biskup from D.ID DANCE IDENTITY, 40 dance professionals gathered in person to discuss hundreds of dance works.

Aerowaves Twenty22 Artists are:

  • Diego Tortelli & Miria Wurm with ‘HOLE IN SPACE’, Germany

  • Andreas Hannes with ‘Warping Soul’, The Netherlands
  • Collettivo Mine with ‘Esercizi per un manifesto poetico’, Italy
  • Courtney May Robertson with ‘the pleasure of stepping off a horse when it’s moving at full speed’, The Netherlands
  • Anna-Marija Adomaityte/Cie A M A with  ‘Pas de deux’,  Lithuania/Switzerland
  • Jacopo Jenna with ‘Some choreographies’, Italy
  • Yulia Arsen with ‘Plastic bag’, Russia
  • Gaston Core with ‘The Very Last Northern White Rhino’, Spain

You will meet the Twenty22 artists at the Spring Forward Festival from 28 April – 1 May 2022 hosted by the European Capital of Culture in Elefsina and DAN.C.CE UNITIVA. Save the date!

We would like to send the warmest welcome and congratulations to our newly selected artists and special thanks to all the applicants for submitting their works.
