In this solo, full of delicate virtuosity, Johann Pérez Viera reveals the pleasure of dance as an act of connection, an offering to his audience.

This choreography mirrors past eras when movement was offered as a tribute to kings and queens. Obsequio was therefore designed as a gift (the Spanish translation) to delight the audience through the offering of a dance—a poetry of movements inspired by voguing and joropo, and music. Obsequio becomes a necessary gesture of affirmation, an invitation to embrace individuality and to reveal oneself.
