Biography

Born in Toronto, Ramona Nagabczyńska is a dancer and choreographer based in Poland. Ramona’s recent choreographic interests lie in the grotesque female body and re-evaluating classical forms of performing arts and visual culture.  

She trained as a dancer at the Warsaw State Ballet School, the Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt and at The Place in London. She also obtained a degree in Cultural Studies at the University of Social Sciences in Warsaw. 

Ramona has performed with various companies and artists, including Polish Dance Theatre, Fleur Darkin, David Wampach, Ula Sickle, Rebecca Lazier, Paweł Sakowicz, Alex Baczynski- Jenkins, Marta Ziółek and Clod Ensemble. 

Her own work includes New (Dis)Order (selected by Aerowaves in 2014), RE//accumulation, The Way Things Dinge, pURe, More, Networking and Body Parts. She is currently working on Silenzio!.

Between 2016 and 2020 Ramona was an apap Network artist.
