With sheer delight for playing and equipped with a pinch of self-irony, Luke Baio and Dominik Grünbühel invite you to enter a digital mausoleum. On stage, two talking heads introduce their concept before inviting their bodies to join them and demonstrate what they were once able to perform. A recipe for disaster and for success, Ohne Nix experiments with body projection, morphing tricks and humour.

Biography

British born Luke Baio completed his degree at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2000. Between 2001 and 2006 he toured through Europe and America as a member of the Richard Alston Dance Company. He took part to several productions in collaboration with Liquid Loft/Chris Haring, Semper Oper Dresden, Stadttheater Klagenfurt (Karl Schreiner), Neue Oper Wien, Company Smafu, Nikolaus Adler and Liz King. Furthermore he designed scenographies for Alexander Gottfarb, Radek Hewelt, Bankett, Charlotta Ruth & Clelia Colonna.

Born in New York, Dominik Grünbühel studied in Vienna and in London at the London Contemporary Dance School. Since 2001 he has been working as a freelance dancer and performer in Vienna. He graduated in digital art at the Vienna University for Applied Arts in 2016. During the past years he has been focusing on his own works in the field of choreography, video and projection.

Collaborations include Charlotta Ruth, Michael Bruckner, Bankett, Konic Thtr (Barcelona) and Rupert Huber, Judith Unterpertinger & Katherina Weinhuber amongst others.
