Biography

Camelia Neagoe is a choreographer based in Bucharest, working across various formats to explore contemporary themes that reflect aspects of daily life. Her most recent performances aim to offer a critical perspective on the sociopolitical mechanisms that shape our cultural landscape.

She holds a BA and a MA from the Choreography Department of the National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest. Since co-founding Delazero Association in 2018, Camelia Neagoe has initiated projects focused on cultural education and movement research, recently receiving the CNDB – National Centre for Dance in Bucharest Award for her contribution in the field of contemporary dance.

In her work, she is interested in the expressive force of movement in relation to verbal language, exploring dramaturgical dance practices.  She often shares her technique and methods, particularly teaching young people.
