58 dance professionals gather in Rijeka for the Annual Selection Meeting
31 October 2023Aerowaves partners and dance professionals gathered in Rijeka from the 23-25 October 2023 to select the next #Twenty24 Artists.
Our partner Edvin Liverić and his team hosted the Partners’ Annual Selection Meeting at the Croatian Cultural Centre in Rijeka (HR). It was one of the biggest Aerowaves’ meetings yet.
We also invited the three recipients of awards from Startup Forum 2023: Soňa Jakubove (Slovakia), Sheree Lenting (The Netherlands) and Jarkko Partenen (Finland), to participate in the meeting.
We were joined by Lucas Herrmann, Lisa Marie Heidrich (Hessisches Staatsballett / Staatstheater Darmstadt) and Honne Dohrman (Staatstheater Mainz), who are part of the Spring Forward 2024 team (Darmstadt, Mainz and Wiesbaden, 21 – 23 March 2024). From overseas, we also welcomed Annie-Claude Coutu-Geoffroy, director of Parcours Danse (Québec) and part of the team of La Danse sur les Routes du Québec 2023.
Other attendees included: the chairman of Aerowaves’ board Willie White; the leader of the Startup Forum and also a board member Betsy Gregory; Springback Magazine editor Sanjoy Roy and Springback Academy director Oonagh Duckworth.
The group discussed hundreds of submissions from across Europe as well as the wider activities of Aerowaves and its partners.
