On Record is a documentary project by Aerowaves and Springback, in partnership with regional dance festivals.
On Record is a growing collection of “albums” that register themes, impressions, voices, stories and reflections from regional dance festivals and platforms.
Each album is a tracklist of separate numbers, in text or audio form, composed by the Aerowaves/Springback team. The resulting compilation of different takes and treatments gives a creative afterlife to the live event.
The first edition of Moving Balkans contemporary dance showcase ran from 10–13 May 2025 in Ljubljana, Rijeka and Zagreb, featuring performances, pitching sessions and networking events. On Record went there to experience and engage with the brand new platform, moving with the group from Ljubljana (Slovenia) on 10–11 May, to Rijeka and Zagreb (Croatia) on 12–13 May. Baltic Dance Platform 2024, released in April 2024
The 2024 edition of Baltic Dance Platform ran from 9–11 February in Riga, Latvia. On Record went there to experience and engage with the platform. Over three days, three partner countries – Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia – presented three works each. PT.23 – Portuguese Platform for Performing Arts
The 2023 edition of PT (Portuguese Platform for Performing Arts) ran from 6–10 June in Montemor-o-Novo and Lisbon. A team from On Record went there to experience and engage with the festival. Find their recordings, observations, conversations and impressions, in all kinds of formats: long, short, text, audio, reportage, interview, diary, commentary, and more. Released in September 2023
