The first edition of the Forum at the Lyon Dance Biennale ran from 17–21 September 2025 in Lyon, France. The Forum is a new, experimental, discursive public programme hosting alternative spaces for dance dialogues beyond European borders, bringing to Lyon artists and curators from five regions of the world. Each curator was invited to choose an artist or collective from their geographical region whose work and commitment were strongly connected to their locality, with Indigenous understandings and practices taking centre stage.
