Oluwaseun S. Olayiwola, USA / UK
Oluwaseun is a choreographer and poet currently living in London. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Studies, he was awarded the Fulbright Postgraduate Award to study at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, enrolling in the Master of Fine Arts Choreography Programme. He has presented work and collaborated with artists across the US, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany. His critical dance writings have been published in DIYDancer and his poems have been published in Poached Hare, an online poetry journal. His current performance research involves the creation of an interdisciplinary practice at the intersection of poetics and choreography, while his poetry is concerned with facing questions and notions of beauty, invisibility, and dynamic energies of love.
