Springback held an Assembly in Rovereto (IT) for a group of our international writers and thinkers, where they met with the festival team, artists, and participants. The discussions and talks, curated by Springback writer Gaia Clotilde Chernetich, resonated with Oriente Occidente’s spirit focusing on two key themes: accessibility in the performing arts and the relationship between dance and museums.
The writers spent a whole day at Mart Museum, diving into the dynamics of dance performances created for or performed in museums, and also into Mart’s projects and exhibitions. Another day was dedicated to the theme of accessibility guided by artist and activist Diana Anselmo and critic and theatre researcher Sergio Lo Gatto.
In addition to the lectures, talks and performances, the Springbackers had the chance to visit Rovereto and discover more about its history thanks to the courtesy of Rovereto’s Tourist Board.
As an outcome of the Assembly, Springback Magazine will publish a special supplement about Springback’s experience at Oriente Occidente festival.
Thanks so much Oriente Occidente for the connections and hospitality!
