We are delighted to welcome new partners and presenters!

Joining us from Germany is Bruno Heynderickx representing the Hessisches Staatsballett and Staatstheater Darmstadt. The organisation invites a number of prestigious national and international guest productions each year, and invests in promising choreographers and their companies by providing residencies. In addition, an extended outreach and educational programme, and participatory dance projects for amateurs of all ages are an integral part of every season.

Rui Torrinha is the artistic director at Vila Flor Cultural Centre (CCVF) in Guimarães, he is joining Aerowaves as a presenter for Portugal. The CCVF put Guimarães on the map of “destinations for culture” in Portugal, and was awarded European Capital of Culture in 2012. It presents a range of artistic disciplines as well as supporting the production of work.

We are also glad to welcome back Un-Magritt Nordseth as partner for Norway, who is currently responsible for dance at Oslo Kulturskole. Nordseth has an extensive career as a choreographer, director, dancer and educator in the independent sector, as well as working for a number of institutional theatres. From 2010-2018 she was Artistic and General Manager of Dansens Hus.

Finally, our Croatian partner Edvin Liverić has been appointed as Director of the Croatian Cultural Centre in Rijeka, a public institution for performing and visual arts. Numerous cultural, educational and entertainment programmes are held throughout the year in the Centre, in the field of dance, drama, music, film, multimedia and visual arts. Our Croatian partners will host the Spring Forward Festival 2020 (24-26 April) in Rijeka (European Capital of Culture 2020).

Many heartfelt thanks to Karene Lyngholm and Pia Kraemer who leave Aerowaves and Steinunn Ketilsdóttir, who has been replaced by Ólöf Ingólfsdóttir as our Icelandic partner.
