Soňa Jakubove’s Startup Forum curatorial project “Footsteps of Resilience” examines how dance professionals produced their work in Central and Eastern Europe during the communist regimes. Using the oral testimonies of different artists who were active during that time, she aims to build a multifaceted history of these old pioneers of new dance.
From 16 to 20 May, Footsteps of Resilience’s activities are taking place in Trnava (Malý Berlín, Dance Conservatory of Dušan Nebyla) and Bratislava (Telocvičňa, A4): two presentations of Figuring Age by Boglarka Börcsök and Andreas Bolm, a panel discussion, a screening of the Art of Movement and a performance and workshop by 420People company.
