Yasmine Hugonnet has worked as a freelance choreographer and performer in countries such as Taiwan, Norway, France, Slovenia and Switzerland. Yasmine Hugonnet’s productions have been seen at Impuls Tanz, Vienna; Tanzhaus NRW, Düsseldorf; Mladi Levi Festival Ljubljana; Festival Arts Danthé, Paris; Brigittines International Festival, Brussels; and the Venice Biennale, among others.

Yasmine approaches dance as language and explores the relation between form, imagination and movement. Apart from her main productions for the theatre, Yasmine is developing Spectaculaires, a research project lead by the question: “What is a dance when vision disappears?”. In march 2015, the company presented La Traversée des Langues a new solo exploring ventriloquy and movement. Next February, she will premiere a group piece called LA RONDE/QUATUOR for 4 dancers. Meanwhile, Le Récital des Postures is touring through France, Germany, Belgium and Italy. Yasmine is also the associated artist for two years (2015-2017) with Théâtre de Sévelin 36, funded by the Pro Helvetia programme YAA! – Young Associated Artist.
