Biography

Raekallio Corp. is an independent dance company based in Finland, presenting the work of choreographer and dancer Valtteri Raekallio.Valtteri Raekallio has performed in over 60 productions in 40 countries, and has appeared in contemporary dance performances, opera and theatre productions and films.
The company produces Raekallio’s unique multidisciplinary, immersive site-specific works such as Neuromaani (2016), which took over 100 rooms in a disused hospital in Helsinki. Neuromaani was commissioned by Helsinki Festival and co-produced by Zodiak – Centre for New Dance. Other site-specific works of Raekallio Corp. include Short Stories from Forgotten Rooms (2015), The Representative (2014) and Where Does the Light Go? (2013).

Raekallio Corp. also produces Valtteri Raekallio’s stage works designed for international touring at dance festivals, including Frigid (2017), Esitys – A Performance (2016) and Rehearsal on Love (2015), Oneiron (2018).

Raekallio Corp’s new immersive work Audience will premiere in Helsinki in November 2018.
